PALACE MERANO

The Revital Medical Centre

The Revital Medical Centre is a licenced medical treatment centre authorized through local government acts no. 576/23.6 of 04/10/2007 and no. 21774/2017. As such, it is classified as an approved healthcare facility.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, travel on a national and international level is subject to restrictions, established by the government of each country. We strongly recommend checking the regulations before travelling. Failure to comply with anti-Covid 19 regulations can lead to being refused access to a flight or authorities refusing to allow you to travel to Italy as your final destination.

The necessary documentation: on arriving

If you are arriving in Italy from another country, we advise you to visit the following websites before travelling:

These sites contain all the rules and guidelines for limiting the spread of Covid-19 in Italy.

The EU Digital Covid Certificate has now been introduced in Italy. Its purpose is to facilitate the free movement of citizens within the EU during the Covid-19 pandemic. Travellers arriving from Italy or the other EU member states and the Schengen area (list C) are now required to present the EU Digital Covid Certificate, which shows that the holder:

  • has received the required doses of an anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccine at least 14 days previously, or
  • has recovered from the Covid-19 virus (the certificate of recovery is valid for six months from the date of the first positive test), or
  • is in possession of a negative result to a molecular or antigen test performed within the last 48 hours before entering Italy.

Palace Merano requests a copy of the completed full vaccination cycle (EMA approved in Italy) with dates. In absence of such documentation we request a negative molecular PCR test or antigen swab test made in the 48 hours prior check-in and thereafter at our medical centre (each 48 hours) as this is implied as a “COVID Protected Area”.

Failure to provide this documentation will lead to you being refused access to the Hotel Palace, Merano.

In compliance with the Health Minister’s Act of 16 April 2021, from 24 May all passengers arriving in Italy from a foreign nation must also fill out the dPLF (Digital Passenger Locator Form) before entering Italian territory.

To fill out the digital locator form, follow the instructions below:

  1. Log onto the EU Digital Passenger Locator Form (dPLF) website (euplf.eu)
  2. Follow the guided procedure to access the dPLF
  3. Select “Italy” as your destination country
  4. Register on the site by creating a personal account with username and password
  5. Fill out and send the dPLF following the instructions

Once you have sent off the form, you will receive an email at the address you gave when registering with the dPLF in PDF format and a QR code to present at the time of boarding and/or to anyone authorized to perform this check. Alternatively, you can print a copy of the dPLF to show to the authorities.

The dPLF must be filled in and sent off before you arrive in Italy. As it is a legal obligation, failure to fill in the dPLF will lead to the authorities refusing you entry to Italy.

The necessary documentation: on leaving
